Poster making on voters'day
Political Science Department of PCM SD College Jalandhar also celebrated the voters day principal Dr. Pooja parashar motivated students to use their rights to vote as youths participantion in political process strength India democracy. Amandeep Kaur asked student to must make their voter's I _ card students and staff took.oath that they must caste the vote during elections Geeta kahole conducted the oath ceremony. 40 students participated in poster making competition.
Indian constitution day
Constitution Day 26.November 2022 celebrated in the PCM SD College for women Jalandhar. Assistant professor Amandeep Kaur Department of Political Science spoke to the students about the significance of the constitution and about the role and contribution of Baba Shaib B.R Ambedkar who is known as the father of constitution.
An Essay writing competition (05/11/2022)
Political Science department orgnise an essay writing competition on " Voting Behaviour"on 11 - 05- 2022 for the students of BA. The student performed with utmost zest and zeal. They exhibited their knowledge through versatility in their topics. The winners of the competition are- 1st position ( B.A 4th Pooja, ) 2nd (B.A 4th Loveleen) 3rd (4th Komal ).

PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar Organizes an Awareness Campaign on the eve of National Voters' Day
An awareness Programme through different activities was organized by the Department of Political Science of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar on the eve of National Voters' Day on 25th January 2022. More than 40 students participated wholeheartedly in the event. The students prepared placards, posters, charts etc on the importance of voting. They also highlighted that every vote counts, therefore every citizen must vote. An online lecture was also delivered by Miss. Amandeep Kaur, Department of Political Science and Mrs.Lovely, Department of Computer Science on the topic "Democracy and the role of Vote". The speakers enlightened the students about the significance of vote and also added that every vote is significant to make democracy successful. Further, students also pledged to caste their vote in a election in a responsible way as it was their right. The honourable members of the Managing Committee and the Principal of the college Dr. Mrs Pooja Prashar congratulated the Department of Political Science for successfully organizing the event.
Slogan writing competition (11/26/2021)
Department of Political Science of PCM S.D college for women Jalandhar celebrate the " INDIAN CONSTITUTION DAY". The department orgnise a "Slogan writing competition" The participated of different classes presented their slogan on topic "Indian constitution". The purpose of this competition was a highlight and significance of the constitution and show key role played by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in preparing the draft of the constitution. Student showed keen interest in this contest. The winner include loveleen and Pooja ( B.A 3rd sem.) Rajni (B.A 3rd sem.) and Bhavika and Sejal ( B.A 1st sem.).
